Fields |
Annual leave pay employee type:Specifies how PayGlobal pays annual leave to the employee.
Leave Code to payout for casuals:Enabled when Annual leave pay employee type = 'Casual'. You can select the allowance code for the 'AL Paid as You Go' transaction. When you process the pay, this transaction pays the casual employee's nett accrued leave for that pay period. Entitlement unit:Employees can accrue annual leave in days or hours. However, the Entitlement unit must match the rate/rules units on the Rules tab. Note: An organisation can have some employees attached to leave tables with entitlements in days, and other employees attached to leave tables with entitlements in hours. Method of unit accrual:Determines how an employee's entitlement units (days or hours) are accrued each pay period.
Accrual rate per pay period:This field contains the rate that annual leave accrues at each pay period. Accrual rate per pay period is enabled when Method of unit accrual is one of the following:
Accrual accumulation:This field is enabled when Method of unit accrual = 'Fixed Units', 'Standard Units', or 'Rostered Units'.
Maximum units accrued per week:This field is enabled when Method of unit accrual = 'Average Units' or 'Proportional Units'. These accrual methods depend on qualifying hours so Maximum units accrued per week sets the maximum number of units that an employee can accrue each week. For example, an employee is entitled to a maximum of 160 hours (20 days) annual leave per year. If the employee's Method of unit accrual = 'Proportional Units' and they work more than five days per week, they would accrue more than 160 hours (20 days) annual leave per year. To prevent this 'over-accrual' you would enter the following values in the Maximum units accrued per week field:
These values will ensure that the employee's annual leave entitlement never exceeds 160 hours or 20 days. Maximum units accrued per annum:This field is enabled for all Method of unit accrual values. Use this field to set the maximum number of units that an employee can accrue each year. Days in this AL cycle:This value is the number of days in the annual leave anniversary period. Usually Days in this AL cycle = 365 for one full year (12 months). However, some organisations base annual leave entitlements on other periods, such as nine months. You do not need to change this value to accommodate leap years (366 days). PayGlobal treats Days in this AL cycle values as follows:
Next table on cycle end (Optional):Usually you would leave this field blank so the annual leave table rolls onto itself at the end of the annual leave cycle. Employees rarely roll onto a different entitlement after one year. If you select an annual leave table code in this field, attached employees will be rolled onto this table at the end of the annual leave cycle. Note: The length of the annual leave cycle is determined by the Days in this AL cycle value. Rollover round to nearest:This field gives you the ability to manage how PayGlobal will round the Total pro-rata units that get rolled into outstanding when the employee's annual leave anniversary is reached. You can change this to be anything between 0.00 and 1.00 inclusive. If you do not want the PayGlobal to apply rounding then set this value to 0.00. If you want to round to the nearest whole number then set this value to 1.00. Otherwise enter the value you want the PayGlobal to use. Calculation of qualifying hours:Enabled when Entitlement unit = "Days". If you add a transaction for one day's annual leave PayGlobal has to determine the number of hours on that day. This field gives you the ability to specify how to convert annual leave days to annual leave hours. If Convert AL units to qualifying hours is true, you should use one of the options :- C. Profiled hours - uses the actual profiled hours on the leave days (use only if you are paying in days) D. Average hours - use the employee's average profiled hours If Convert AL Units to qualifying hours is false, you should use the option E. Use Quantity - uses the transaction quantity, which implies that you are paying in hours. If you have selected the C. Profiled hours option and you are paying in days, the daily rate will be corrected to use the hours on the day(s) rather than an average daily rate. The calculated annual leave hours can then also be included in any hourly accumulators if the accumulator is of type hourly conversion. |
