Audit Analysis - Filtering

Grid | Right-click menu | View Audit Analysis |

Summary

Filters enable you to see a specific group of records in Audit Analysis. You can filter records by single fields, or by a combination of fields.

Using Filters

- This is the Show Filters icon. When you click the Show Filters icon, drop-down arrows appear next to the fields that you can filter. Clicking a drop down arrow displays a list that includes all entries made for that field in the current view.

Selecting an item in the drop down list displays only the records that include that entry. All other records are hidden.

Click on the  at the bottom of the screen to deactivate the query.

Custom Filtering

Custom filtering enables you to sort the Audit Analysis. If you have used Microsoft Outlook grouping before, you will be familiar with the concept. Custom filtering groups events by the header that you drag up to the dark grey header bar.

To apply a custom sort:

  1. Click on the header and drag it to the dark area.

Two lime green arrows highlight where the column will be inserted when the mouse button is released.

  2. When the arrows show that the field is correctly positioned, release the mouse button.

If the Audit Analysis View was filtered by 'This Year To Date', it is automatically sorted by 'Change Date' first and then by 'Event'.

To view the results in each group, click on the plus (+) button beside the group, or highlight the group and click the expand button on the navigation toolbar.

The expanded group can be contracted by clicking the minus (-) button beside the group, or highlight the group and click the contract button on the navigation toolbar.
