Budget Centres

Organisation | Costings | Budgeting | Budget Centres

Summary

A typical organisation can be divided into several areas - Administration, Checkouts, Warehouse etc. Most of these work areas require a staffing resource for which you need to assign a budget value to.

The way that Budget Centres are assigned in your organisation depends entirely on your own structure. Your PayGlobal Consultant will work with you and your finance/operations team to structure the best way to allocate Budget Centres for your organisation.

Example

The following structure might be used for a large national chain with several outlets. A Budget Centre would typically be defined for each Store which is used to load the total Store budget. This would also be used to measure total store performance.

Then, for each Store, a Budget Centre would also be created for each department within the Store.

For example:

Budget Centre

Using this structure means that you can easily use wildcards when filtering Budget Centre data in PayGlobal.

You can also add a legend to those employees that are rostered to work within a Budget Centre.
