    This indicates that this Budget Centre relates to a fixed cost. For example, Administration or Security.

  • Variable

    This indicates that the roster cost per hour differs according to labour demands. For example, checkout staffing depends on sales per hour.

Demand Budget Centre Series:

This field links a demand driver to a Budget Centre.

Your database will contain one or more Budget Centre Series records called 'Demand Budget Centre Series'. This record controls the demand driver for the Budget Centre. A demand driver is a value that represents the Budget Centre labour demand requirement. Some examples of demand drivers are previous period sales dollar value, number of hours, number of customers, number of sales.

Short description:

This field is mainly for the presentation of SpreadSheets. The Budget Centre codes in the database may be difficult for a non-user to easily understand. If you enter an alternative name here, the SpreadSheets will use this name, rather than the standard Budget Centre code.

This is a free text field that allows for up to thirty characters.

Legend:

The legend is the value that appears in the timeband cells of the Daily Scheduler spreadsheet. It enables a more visual and abridged description of the Budget Centre that an employee is rostered to.
