Organisation | Entitlements | Awards | Allowances tab
Summary |
An allowance is a benefit or amount that is paid to an employee. This tab page displays the allowances that apply to an award. Any allowance transactions that are entered for employees who are employed under the terms of a specified award will use the settings displayed on this tab page. This means that you can override standard allowance settings for employees on a particular award by coding alternative settings here. For example, you may want to code all allowance transactions for employees on an award to a different cost centre than for employees who are not on the award. |
Pay Rates |
Sometimes you may need to override the standard pay rate for employees on an award. There are two ways to do this using the awards entity:
The award allowance is the first place PayGlobal looks when selecting the correct rate to use for an allowance. The award rate field is the very last place PayGlobal looks. See Allowance Transaction Hierarchy for more details. |
Procedure |
Use the Award Allowances form to enter the details about allowances that apply automatically to awards. |
