Payroll | AAR Calculation command
Overview |
When you access the AAR Calculation command, PayGlobal displays the Advanced Award Rate Calculation form. Each field on the Detail tab is explained below |
Fields |
Pay Period:PayGlobal will run the AAR Calculation on the Period frequency that you select (mandatory). For example, Weekly. Query:PayGlobal will apply the AAR Calculation to the employees defined by the selected query who belong to the selected Pay Period. This optional field displays all queries as set by your Security Profile for the employee table. Employee:PayGlobal will apply the AAR Calculation to the selected employee only. Using this field is optional. However if you do select an employee, the Query field becomes inactive. Leave this field blank to select all employees. Check rates to:This is the date that the AAR Calculation command will use as the comparison date. It sets a limit on how far ahead the command will look. For example, you could set this field to a month ahead and PayGlobal will look for employees who will be entitled to a rate change up to the specified date. Defaults to the end date of the most recently opened pay for this Period frequency. Min change amount:The minimum amount of rate change (in dollars and cents) that needs to occur before a rate increase becomes effective. The default value is 0.01.
Type:You can set the AAR Calculation command to just inform you of eligible employees or to change their rates automatically.
Start date for new rate:The field is only active when the Type field is set to Update rates for eligible employees. The AAR Calculation command starts checking employees for rate increase eligibility from this date. This start date then becomes the effective start date for any new rates. The effective end date for the old rate is this start date minus one day. PayGlobal also uses this date to compare date-driven rate rules. Derive Salary:If set to Yes, PayGlobal recalculates the Annualised Salary in the employee record. Detailed Log:Select Yes to display a detailed log. |
