Summary |
This report lists details of the GL Journal, and creates a file for export into a specified General Ledger/Accounting package. PayGlobal uses data in the TransPerPaySequence table for the selected pay sequences to generate GL codes. The documentation for your General Ledger software will explain how to import data from Payroll software, such as PayGlobal. |
Report Settings |
To enter general ledger settings, navigate to the Reports | Report Groups | PGPRGENE | PGPRGENE002 - GL Journal | GL Journal Setup form. Allowance Group exclusion:You can exclude specific allowances from the GL Journal, by creating an allowance group containing those allowances, and then selecting that allowance group in this field. Pay Sequences:Select the pay sequence that you want to run the report for. Date from, Date to:PayGlobal automatically completes these fields based on the pay sequence that you selected. Journal is a wage accrual:Yes/No field that determines whether the GL Journal is a wage accrual. Selecting "Yes", enables the following fields: Days in this period:Number of days in a period before the wage accrual comes into effect. Days to accrue (+/-):Number of days to accrue when the wage accrual occurs. Reverse:Yes/No field that determines whether PayGlobal changes positive values to negative, and negative values to positive to help you reverse a GL export to fix any balancing issues. Include non-paying allows:Yes/No field that determines whether the GL Journal includes non-paying allowances. Export:Yes/No field that determines whether the GL Journal in will be exported. Select "Yes" if you are generating the GL Journal for your General Ledger system. Export zero amounts:Yes/No field that determines whether zero amounts are exported. You would usually select "No". |
GL Type = Hayes or Enza |
If the Company Settings | General Ledger | GL Type = "Hayes" or "Enza", then the following fields become available: Post Period:Enter the Post Period as defined in the configuration *.ini file. Narration:This text field appears in certain lines of the export file. Your default Perm folder must contain a configuration file called Hayes.ini or similar. You can generate this configuration file from your GL software package. |
