Report Destination - Document options

Summary

The Document options fields allow you to use Document Management functionality to:

  • Attach the report to a folder with Document View
  • Attach the report to an entity
  • Attach the report to a selected record in an entity
  • Publish the report to Self-Service

    Note: When you send a report to Document Management, the filenames must be unique, otherwise you will overwrite files with the same filename.

Fields
Document Management:

If you want to use Document Management functionality, then click the Document Management checkbox to activate these tab fields.

Format:

Select a report format (see Report Format Options). The default format is "PDFFile".

Note: Designer reports have "CSV2File" option. If Format = "CSV2File", then the resultant file will not contain additional quotation marks around strings that include spaces. However, strings or numeric values that include commas are enclosed in quotes for Format = "CSVFile" and "CSV2File".

Filename:

Type a relevant name for the report. The default name is based on the report code, such as PGPRCOST001.

Field containing filename override:

This field is displayed only when you access this form from the Report Splitting tab in Reports - Edit Report Settings. You can select only fields that are in the entity selected on the Report Splitting tab.

Document Settings:

This field displays the settings you select when you click the Edit document settings button and complete the Document Settings form.

Edit document settings button:

Click this button to access the Document Settings form and then assign the report file to a location in the Document View (Management) entity.
