Export Roster to Job Costing

Rostering | Export Roster to Job Costing command

Summary

You can link PayGlobal to a Job Costing or Work in Progress package to analyse employee costs for a specific job.

To export a roster to a job costing package:

  • Export to Job Costing must be set up in Company Settings.
  • Job costing export must be set to Yes, in allowances.

Procedure
  1. Double-click the Export Roster to Job Costing command.
  2. You have the option to Export Roster to Job Costing by Employee query, Department, Location, Award, Work Area and or Dims (1 to 4).

    To Export Actuals for all employees, leave these fields blank.

Pay Sequences:
  1. In the pick list, tick the checkboxes for the required pay sequences.
  2. Click OK.

    The number displayed in the Pay Sequences field refers to the total number of pays selected, not the pay sequence number.

  3. View the audit log to confirm the Roster has been exported to Job Costing successfully.

Details tab
Query:

Use a query to select a specific group of employees or leave this field as "Default" to select all employees.

Employee:

Select an employee in the pick list or leave this field blank to select all employees.

Pay Sequences:

In the pick list, tick the checkboxes for the required pay sequences.

The number displayed in the Pay Sequences field refers to the total number of pays selected, not the pay sequence number.

Advanced Filter Options tab

In addition to the criteria you have specified on the Details tab you can further define the data you wish to export by selecting records on the following tab pages:

  • Departments
  • Locations
  • Work Areas
  • Awards
  • Dim1
  • Dim2
  • Dim3
  • Dim4

To Export Actuals for all employees, leave all tab pages untagged.

Terminated employees
  • If a terminated employee has no transactions to export, then no entry appears in the audit log for the employee.
  • If a terminated employee has transactions, then the following message appears in the audit log and the transactions are not exported:

    !15    1013   Peters, Shirley Joan   (not exported - terminated employee)
