Summary

Dataline is a data capture device that is used to collect information about employee attendances.

The Export Clock Data command only applies if you are using Dataline.

Function

A file or files are created for Dataline containing employee details.

Setting up PayGlobal for Dataline

Use the Clocks - Export Details tab to set up Dataline details in PayGlobal.

Example: The files created by the data export can vary depending on the settings in the Export extra information field, as follows:

• No

  RSEmpl.dbf file is generated. This contains employee information such as card number, employee name and department code.

• T&A

  Two files are created:

  • RSEmpl.dbf file
  • RSEmDay.dbf which includes T&A/Roster information.

Procedure

1. Clock: Select your Dataline clock.
2. Enter the dates From and To for the days you want the file created for.
3. Specify a Target filename, if required.
4. Use the If file exists field to overwrite or append an existing file.
5. Click OK to run the export.
6. View the audit log to confirm the number of employees that have been exported to the Dataline file.
