Summary

The Defaults tab fields are used with values on the other two costing tabs:

  • Information in the Job Rank area is used with Job-Timeband Rank tab values to generate job codes.

Costing

Ranking

PayGlobal applies ranking in the following order:

  1. Unranked (null) item
  2. Numeric values
  3. Uppercase characters
  4. Lowercase characters.

Important: PayGlobal ranking starts with '0', so '01' would come before '1' (which PayGlobal would read as '10').

Usually, a PayGlobal consultant will base the cost centre format on the organisation's general ledger requirements.

Example
