Transaction View | Tools | Model to other Employees

Summary

You can use modelling to copy a transaction from one employee to multiple employees. Model To other Employees is useful for adding a permanent transaction for multiple employees, but you can also use it for standard transactions.

Note: All transaction fields are copied, including the Rate amount and Cost Centre.

Model a Permanent Transaction to multiple employees
  1. Create a permanent transaction for an employee.
  2. In Drill Down, click the new permanent transaction.
  3. In the main menu, click Tools | Model to other Employees, or alternatively press Ctrl+M.

    The following information message appears:
"You are about to select which employees should receive the Permanent Allowance. Only employees who are not terminated will be included."

  4. Click OK.

A list of all the employees that you can model the transaction to appears.

If you are modelling the transaction to a group of employees, such as a whole department, then apply a query to view only those employees in the list.

  5. Select the required employees:
    • To select one employee at a time, click the checkbox for the employee. Alternatively, press the space bar while the employee is highlighted.
    • To select all employees, right-click and select Tag/Untag All, or press Ctrl+space bar.
  6. Click OK.

The transaction appears in each of the selected employee's permanents.

If a standard pay is already open and the transaction should be included in this pay, then you must enter the transaction manually. Use the Copy to Sequence command for each employee to make this process quicker and easier.
