Synchronisation - Fields - Details

Summary

The Synchronisation entity records the information needed to synchronise data to or from PayGlobal. The Fields tab page displays a list of all the fields and their types and lengths for the table that will be synchronised.

Once all settings are completed, run the Import Files or Export Files command to complete Synchronisation.

Fields
Field name:

The name of the particular field in which you are adding or editing information.

Type:
  • Field value

    The value that exists in the field when the data is imported.

  • Default value

    A pre-defined set value for this field regardless of what data is imported. This default value will overwrite whatever exists in that data field.

Default value:

The actual value to be set for a Default field type.

From character:

This field determines at which column in the ASCII file this field begins.

Length:

The length in the file allocated for this field.

Field order:

The order in the table this field occurs. This option is enabled when Type = 'Field Value'. For example, if it is the first field in the table, the value would be ‘1’.

Number of decimals:

The number of decimals contained in the field. This option is enabled for Export files only.
