Reset Actuals and Clocks

Daily View | Tools | Reset Actuals and Clocks

Summary

Reset Actuals and Clocks is similar to the Reset Clock Data run command, but it only resets the clock swipes - you cannot delete them. If you reset the clock swipes, then you must reprocess them. You would do this if your original processing was incorrect. For example, if employees were attached to the wrong anchor group.

After you Reset Actuals and Clocks you can Update from Clock Transactions to restore the Actuals to their original state.

Note: Reset Actuals and Clocks does not affect confirmed times.

Procedure

You can reset one day or multiple days for an employee or multiple employees.

Important: You can only access the Reset Actuals and Clocks command if the Supervisor checkbox is ticked on your user profile.

  1. Select the Actuals to be reset.
    • To reset one employee timeband:

In Employee View, click the employee's Start cell in the required day and, while holding down your mouse button, drag your cursor to their End cell. You have selected the employee's cells for that day so all those cells are highlighted.

    • To reset multiple employee timebands:

While holding down the Ctrl key, use the above process to select all required timebands.

    • To reset all employee timebands in one day:

In Employee View, right-click the date column header.

    • To reset all employee timebands in multiple days:

While holding down the Ctrl key, use the above process to select all required days.

    • To reset all employee timebands in a week:

In Employee View, right-click the Totals column header.

  2. Click Tools | Reset Actuals and Clocks or press Ctrl+F11.

    A Warning message appears.

  3. Click OK.

The reset cells are marked with an asterisk (*).

  4. Press Ctrl+S to save your changes.

The reset cells do not have an asterisk (*), but they are still selected.

Now you need to Update from Clock Transactions to restore the Actuals to their original state.
