Reset Clock Data

Time & Attendance | Reset Clock Data command

Summary

The Reset Clock Data command enables you to re-import a clock file.

When you reset clock data, you can:

  • Reset the clock swipes.
  • Delete the clock swipes.

If you reset clock swipes, you will need to re-process them. You would do this if the original processing was incorrect. For example, if employees were attached to the wrong anchor group. If you delete clock data, you will need to re-import and re-process the clock data. You would do this if the original clock data was corrupted.

Resetting clock data

You may need to re-import a clock file if you discover the original import file is incomplete.

Example:

An organisation imports two clock files, one in the morning and another in the afternoon.

By mistake, they have imported and processed the morning file only. They now need to import the afternoon clock file, and then re-process all clock data.

Before they import the afternoon file, they need to use the Reset Clock Data command to ensure that the processing flags are assigned correctly.

They do not need to re-import the morning clock file.

Procedure
  1. Double-click the Reset Clock Data command.
  2. Complete the Details tab page.
  3. Click OK.
  4. If the dates are correct click OK.
  5. View the audit log to confirm that PayGlobal has reset each clock entry.
  6. Re-process clock data. Although the imported clock data exists in PayGlobal, the cells in Daily View Actuals remain empty until the data is processed.
