Employee Leave Requests queries

If you have a large number of leave requests in PayGlobal, then it can take a long time to load them in Transaction View, especially if you select "Load All Employees". Employee Leave Requests queries allow you to:

  • Activate a query in Employee Leave Requests that will be respected in Transaction View | Leave Request View, and in the Drill Down area when you select the "Load All Employees" option.
  • Select an Employee Leave Requests query in an employee's Security Profiles | Default Query field (see Security Profiles - Menu) that will be treated as the active query for Employee Leave Requests.

Note: If you create a grid report for Employee Leave Requests in Transaction View, then the resultant report does not indicate any queries that were applied to the data.

'Disappearing' Employee Leave Requests

If you add a leave request or edit an existing record in Transaction View, and the new/edited record is outside the range of the active Employee Leave Requests query, then that record is no longer displayed. When you save the record, the following type of warning appears:

"Leave request for employee 1000 Brown Bryan with a start date of 31/01/2009 is no longer visible due to the current filter on the Employee Leave Request table."

After you click "OK", the new/edited record will 'disappear'.

Extra functionality

The Customise Columns right-click menu option enables you to display additional columns in the grid.

The Generate GRID Report right-click menu option enables you to create a report based on information displayed in the grid.
