Changing an Employee's Pay Rate

Summary

As all organisations are different, the process that you follow may differ from the one outlined below.

The following guide is a suggestion only and should be used as a base for developing your own set of rules.

Procedure
  1. Check that all documentation is complete and in order before proceeding. If necessary, return it to the relevant manager for correction.
  2. Find the employee record that you want to change.
  3. Update the Rates tab on the employee record.
  4. Recalculate the annualised salary by clearing the Annualised salary field, and then clicking Save. In the Warning box for "Recalculate annual salary?", select Yes.
  5. If the rate change is part way through the current week, add a rate override in Daily View, using the old rate for any Timebands before the rate change.
