Report Designer - Tables and Fields

Summary

After you have checked that the base code is in the correct format, you need to add any fields that you require to your data pipeline. Use the following procedure to check for missing fields and to add fields that you require.

In this part of Exercise 5, you will use the WorkArea table and the Workarea.Workareacode and Workarea.Description fields.

  • In Exercise 2, you added the WorkArea table
  • In Exercise 4, you added the Workarea.Workareacode and Workarea.Description fields.

If you have not completed these exercises, you must do so before you continue.

Procedure

You are on the Calc tab of the PayGlobal Reporting Engine.

  1. Click the Data tab.
  2. Click the Table icon Table button on the data pipeline.

    The Query Designer window appears.

  3. Scroll down the Selected Tables section to check that the WorkArea table is present.

    If you cannot see the WorkArea table, then you must add it (see Exercise 2).

  4. Click the Fields tab.
  5. Scroll down the Selected Fields section to check that the WorkArea.WorkAreaCode and WorkArea.Description fields are present.
  6. If you cannot see these fields, then you must add them (see Exercise 4).
  7. Click OK to close the Query Designer.
