Summary

Organisational charting allows you to graphically represent 'parent-child' relationships between Work Area Positions (WAP) records.

Note: In organisational charting, a parent sits above the subject record and children sit below it.

Organisational charting is based on the Parent tab page in the WAP record that contains the 'parent' and 'children' records. These values create relationships between WAP records that is the basis of the organisational chart (Org Chart).

Each WAP (except the Chief Executive or Chairman of the Board) reports to another WAP. A WAP can have only one parent WAP, but a parent WAP can have many 'children'. These relationships allow you to produce a traditional hierarchical organisation chart.

Note: You can use organisational charting only if your PayGlobal license includes the Human Resources module.
