Summary

A Cost Centre can be broken down to parts called Jobs. These help you to break the cost of transactions down to further detail and report on them. Initially, the main method of obtaining transaction detail with respect to costing is through the use of Cost Centres. You do not need to specify Jobs for each Cost Centre.

Examples

Examples of Jobs:

  • Cost Centre = Restaurant

    Job - Waiter/Waitress – Serving food

    Job - Waiter/Waitress – Serving drinks

    Job - Cleaner – After hours cleaning

  • Cost Centre = Kitchen

    Job - Food preparation

    Job - Food, dessert

    Job - Dishes

    Job - Food orders

Budgeting

Simple budgeting for Jobs recorded in PayGlobal is detailed in the Payroll Costing tab page. Special care must be taken when processing Jobs. Budget Centres can also be costed for a Job in the Costing tab page.
