Summary

The Costing tab contains optional fields that are used mainly for reporting the costs associated with a Work Area.

Fields

Cost Centre:

Used in cost centre reporting. If the Cost Centres record contains a general ledger code, then PayGlobal exports the work area costs to your General Ledger system.

Budget Centre:

A part of an organisation that you can apply a specific budget value to. Budget Centres are usually associated with Cost Centres. However, you can specify a Budget Centre in a work area so employees appointed to the associated WAP have their roster costs and hours applied to this Budget Centre.

Job:

You can break cost centres into jobs. For example, the jobs for the "Sales" cost centre could be major clients so you could report the proportion of time each work area spent on each client.

Award:

Award for this work area.

Rate:

Default rate for this work area.

Rate amount:

This rate amount will override any other rate amounts associated with this work area.

Factor:

Factor for this work area.
