Summary

Use the Type field to specify how you want to capture data in the Report or Payroll Rule.

Type

Quantity:

Totals the number of units in the Quantity field of a transaction for all allowances in the allowance group

HourlyConversion:

Totals the number of units in the Quantity field of a transaction for all allowances in the allowance group with the exception of leave transactions where it adds the number of leave hours.

The calculation for the leave hours is determined by the settings on the corresponding leave table for the employee (e.g. employee's sick leave table) or leave credit paid.

Total:

Totals the Transaction total of allowances in an allowance group.

The transaction total is calculated using the following formula and represents the total dollars of the transaction.

Quantity * Rate * Factor

Equivalent:

Multiplies Quantity by Factor. For example, three hours at time and a half has an equivalent quantity of 4.5 (3 multiplied by 1.5).

Loading Excluded:

Australia only.

Similar to the total method. This type of allowance group will total Transaction Totals, but will exclude the Leave Loading component of annual leave transactions. PayGlobal calculates the leave loading as part of the annual leave transaction.
