Summary

This tab page applies to the rate selected in the Award Deductions - Details tab page.

It enables you to set criteria so that when a transaction is entered for an employee that meets the criteria, the override rate amount in the Details tab will be used for the transaction.

Example

For example, apprentices may be entitled to reduced union fees according to the number of apprentice hours they have completed.

Rate 1 - No charge for apprentices with 0 - 1000 apprentice hours.

Rate 2 - $1.00 per pay for apprentices with 1001 - 2000 apprentice hours.

Rate 3 - $1.50 per pay for apprentices with 2000+ apprentice hours.

Settings for each Award Deduction record:

Details tab - 'Rate Amount' for each situation.

Advanced tab - 'Apprentice' - Yes, Hours from and to - as applicable for the above example.

Fields

Compare to start:

• Yes

  For age and service calculations, PayGlobal compares the employee's birth date or start date with the period start date.

• No

  For age calculations, PayGlobal compares the employee's birth date with the period end date.

  For service calculations, PayGlobal compares the employee's start date with the period end date.

Age from (years):

PayGlobal will start applying this award deduction when an employee reaches this age.

Age to (years):

PayGlobal will stop applying this award deduction when an employee reaches this age.

Service from (years):

When an employee has this many years of service, PayGlobal will start applying this award deduction.

Service to (years):

When an employee has this many years of service, PayGlobal will stop applying this award deduction.

Rank:

Use this field to rank the order of processing for this award deduction.

Apprentice:

• Yes

  This award deduction applies to apprentice employees only.

  Note: An employee is an apprentice if their Employees | Details | Contract tab | Apprentice field = Yes.

Hours from:

When an apprentice has this many hours of service, PayGlobal will start applying this award deduction.

Hours to:

When an apprentice has this many hours of service, PayGlobal will stop applying this award deduction.
