Summary |
PayGlobal can be further enhanced with the use of Award Rules. Award rules save time and data entry by automating processes within PayGlobal. Award rules are used primarily for the T&A component of PayGlobal as opposed to Award Payroll Rules that deal with the processing of employee payments. Therefore, whenever an entry is made in PayGlobal for an employee on an award, PayGlobal will filter through the award rules set here to see which rules apply to the situation. |
Example |
An award may have been negotiated using the following conditions:
Your PayGlobal Consultant will set rules here to ensure that PayGlobal takes account of the particular situation. This means that, for example, any employees who work on a public holiday are automatically paid at time and a half. |
Adding Award Rules |
Generally award rules are a Consultant issue, and are chargeable. |
Which order are Award Rules applied? |
Sometimes award rules need to be applied in a specific order to be effective. If an employee does not meet the criteria for one award rule, then no other award rules will be applied. Use the Rank column to see the order that your PayGlobal Consultant has instructed PayGlobal to use when award rules are processed. |
What does each column represent? |

Updating employee records automatically |
PayGlobal can automatically update all employee records that are affected by changes to an award. Before saving changes to a record, PayGlobal will prompt you with the following confirm box: "Do you wish to update related information in attached employees?"
