Summary

When you attach an Award Rule to an Award, you can specify whether the rule should be processed as part of:

  • Roster – Standard (Rs).
  • Roster – Validation (vRS).
  • Actuals – Standard (Ac).
  • Actuals – Validation (vAC).

Procedure

You can use the award interpreter to return results for award rules. You can then use these results to identify and correct any potential issues before you process the rules for all employees.

Use the following procedure to return critical results.

On the Awards | Rules | Edit or Add | Details tab, select:

Validate Roster = Yes

and/or

Validate Actuals = Yes.

You can test the following types of validation rules.

  • Timeband hours in the period are less than the employee's contracted minimum.
  • The client uses clocks and there are clock omission flags present for the employee's clock-in or clock-out times during the day.
  • There are clock result flags that have not been resolved. For example, EF=Early Finish, LF=Late Finish, ES=Early Start, LS=Late Start.
