Summary

Period-to-date records allow you to group payments into categories. These categories can be called accumulators or accruals, and they categorise stored values for reporting purposes. Every open pay has a self-generated number. For reporting, you simply select a period-to-date (such as PTD or MTD) and the date range that you require, and Exolvo sorts your information accordingly. This method of storing values greatly simplifies data management and ensures a high level of data integrity.

Period-to-date

PayGlobal contains the following period-to-date records:

• Period PTDs define the number of days in each pay period. For example, if you want to pay employees every week, then your database must contain a Period PTD record for each week.
• Period Tax PTDs define the number of days in each taxation reporting period.
• Period MTDs define the monthly report period.
• Period YTDs define the yearly taxation report period.
• Period Financial YTDs define the company’s yearly cost centre report period.
• Period Superannuation PTDs define the company’s superannuation report period.
• Period Superannuation QTDs (Australia) store the date range that is used to determine whether the employee has reached the quarterly maximum earnings limit.
• Period Fringe Benefit YTDs (Australia) defines the fringe benefit year.
