Summary

A Cash Area is the actual cash centre where the cash payroll is created. There can be several different cash areas associated with one payroll process.

Example

For example, a security firm may be employed by a supermarket chain to make up and deliver the payroll to a number of different stores on their behalf. The entire payroll may be divided by the security firm into four cash areas, servicing up to ten stores each.
