Manage Registered SpreadSheet Definitions

SpreadSheets | Manage Registered Spreadsheet Definitions command

Summary

Before you can import SpreadSheets, you need to:

  • Obtain a registration code.
  • Import your registration code.

Use the Manage Registered Spreadsheet Definitions run command to import your registration codes and maintain your registered SpreadSheet definitions.

Obtain registration code

After you pay the licence fee, contact Customer Support to obtain a registration code. Give them the following information:

  • Your company name and number, as recorded in Company Settings.
  • The definition codes or descriptions of the SpreadSheets that you want to use.

Customer Support can email you the code as a Definition Registration File (DRF) or as text. The DRF is the preferred option for updating definition registrations in PayGlobal. However, if you are an ASP user or you cannot access files for some other reason, then you can import the code as text. After you receive your registration code, save it to a convenient location on your computer.

Import registration code
  1. Double-click Manage Registered SpreadSheet Definitions.

The SpreadSheet Definition Registration window appears.

  2. If you received your registration code as a DRF, then:
    • Click Import Codes.

An Open box appears that is set to display definition registration files.

    • Navigate to your registration code file.
    • Click Open to import your SpreadSheet definitions.
  3. If you received your registration code as text, then:
    • Click Enter Codes.

The Enter Registration Code window appears.

    • Copy and paste the code from your text file into the Registration code area. You must copy and paste the whole code or the registration code will be invalid.
  4. Click Register to import your SpreadSheet definitions

SpreadSheet definitions

After you import your registration code, the Spreadsheet Definition Registration form contains the definitions that you requested. You can use these definitions until their expiry date. Definitions that do not have an expiry date, such as generic SpreadSheets, will never expire.
