Date Anchoring

Time & Attendance | Anchor Groups | Misc tab

Summary

Date anchoring is important for shifts that start at midnight (00:00). If an employee starts work at midnight on Monday night, the hours worked actually belong to Tuesday.

PayGlobal uses offsets to compare an employee's first clock for a day to their roster. Offsets determine which day a swipe should fall into. If there are no offset values, PayGlobal associates the first clock time with the day it was swiped in.

Offsets

An offset is a value that is added to or subtracted from the roster time to determine which day the clock time falls into.

Using Date Anchoring

Date anchoring conditions are set in the Misc tab page of Anchor Groups. For more information on the fields on this tab page, see Anchor Groups - Misc - Date Anchoring.
