History Analysis - Access

Summary

The History Analysis tool allows you to view historical information for individual employees only.

You can access History Analysis from:

  • Transaction View.
  • An employee's record.

Access from Transaction View
  1. In the PayGlobal Tree, double-click Transaction View.
  2. In the Pay Sequences form, click the OK or Cancel button.

    The pay sequences displayed in Transaction View do not determine the historical transactions displayed in History Analysis.

  3. In Transaction View, click the required employee record.
  4. In the main menu, click Tools | History Analysis or press Ctrl+H.

Access from employee record

When you access History Analysis from an employee's record, the tab page that you are on determines the layout of the History Analysis window.

Default Access

When you access an employee's History Analysis from a non-leave tab, History Analysis shows all transactions.

  1. In Employees, click the employee that you want to view the History Analysis.
  2. Right-click to see the menu.
  3. Click View History Analysis or press Ctrl+H.

Or

  1. In Employees, double-click an employee record to open it.
  2. Right-click the Personal (i) tab page to see the menu.
  3. Click View History Analysis or press Ctrl+H.

By default the employee’s History Analysis window displays 'Transactions' for 'This Year to Date'.

Leave Access

When you access an employee's History Analysis from a leave tab, History Analysis shows transactions for that leave type only, and columns are customised accordingly.

  • Annual Leave tab - History Analysis shows only 'AL History' for 'This AL period' (as determined by the annual leave Start and End dates on the employee's Leave tab), and the columns include AL Start, AL End and AL Units Paid.
  • Sick Leave tab - History Analysis shows only only 'SL History' for 'This SL period' (as determined by the sick leave start and end dates on the employee's Leave tab), and the columns include SL Start, SL End and SL Units Paid.
