Differentiating Between Leave Credit Transactions

Summary

Reason codes are the easiest way to differentiate between leave credit transactions. You can set up leave credits so that when you enter a leave credit transaction, an additional field appears on the transaction entry screen. Use this field to enter a reason against the transaction for the leave credit.

Procedure
  1. Create Reasons to use for leave credit transactions.

In the Payroll Allowance field on the Reasons record, select the allowance that you want to use with the reason code. For example, if you want to select a reason code each time that you add a Time in Lieu (Alternative Holiday) transaction, select the Time in Lieu allowance code in the Payroll Allowance field.

  2. Navigate to Organisation | Entitlements | Allowances.
  3. Open a leave credit allowance.
  4. Click the Details (ii) tab.
  5. In the Reason field, select the appropriate reason code.
  6. Repeat this process for all leave credit allowances.
  7. Open Transaction View and enter a leave credit allowance for an employee.

The employee must have a leave credit table attached.
The leave credit allowance form now contains a Reason Code field. The reason code that you attached to the allowance is selected by default, but you can select a different reason code. To view all reason codes, customise columns in the Drill Down area and show the Reason field.
