Fields |
Short date format:You can select the most convenient date format for your needs in the Short date format drop-down box. For example, date format could be dd/mm/yy or dd/mm/yyyy. Country setting:This field controls country-specific aspects of the PayGlobal interface:
This field also determines the tax legislation that PayGlobal applies to employees in the database. Use effective rates:This Yes/No field enables (Yes) or disables (No) effective rate functionality. Important: When turning on effective rate functionality, we highly recommend that you run the external integrity checker to confirm that there are no overlaps in employee package, rate, allowance and deduction dates. This field used to be a switch in the Hr.ini file with UseEffectiveTransactions=1 or 0. PayGlobal no longer uses the UseEffectiveTransactions setting in the Hr.ini file. Effective rate proportion type:Enabled when Use effective rates = Yes. This field is mandatory so it cannot be blank. This field defines how PayGlobal proportions the Quantity value of an allowance transaction during pay processing if a rate change in the pay period for the employee is found. For example, when an Award Allowance record has an Effective start date = 01/04/2010, and the weekly pay period has Start date = 29/03/2010. PayGlobal may split the transaction into two and proportion the quantity according to the Effective rate proportion type. The transaction rate amounts and transaction start/end dates will reflect the effective rate for the date range. The Effective rate proportion type field has the following options:
The value selected is deemed to be the default value for all employees except those who have a difference value selected on their employee record. |
Paying employees in other countries |
If you pay employees who work in another country and are paid according to the tax legislation of that country, then you must set those employees up in a separate database. |
