Company Settings - Type Labels

Administration | Modify Company Settings command | Rostering/T&A | General | Type Labels tab

Summary

Type Labels are additional entities that you can create in the Time & Attendance folder in the PayGlobal Tree. Type labels help you customise PayGlobal to the specific needs of your organisation.

Example

You cannot enter Cost Centres or Jobs on the Shift/Timeband form in Daily View, but you can customise the form to include Type Label fields.

You could create a Type Label record for "Job Code", and then create "Job Code" records that contained specific Job values. You could then customise the Shift/Timeband form to include the "Job Code" field and enter the "Job Code" record that mapped to the required Job.

You could also use this method to add Cost Centre information to shifts/timebands.

In both these cases, the Type Label record links a user-defined Shift/Timeband value ("Job Code" or "Cost Centre Code") with an entity record (Job or Cost Centre) that is not available on the Shift/Timeband form.

Procedure

To create a Type Labels entity:

  1. Click in a Type field.
  2. Enter the entity name, such as Job Code.
  3. Restart PayGlobal.

PayGlobal updates the Time & Attendance folder to include your new entity.
