Adding a New User to PayGlobal

Security | User Profiles

Summary

Add a new user through the User Profiles entity.

Most new users will fit into an existing User Profile. The modelling feature of PayGlobal means that you can use an existing User Profile as a template which you can then customise. This method is quicker and less prone to error than creating a User Profile from scratch.

Procedure

Adding a new user to PayGlobal:

  1. Create a suitable Security Profile for the user if one does not already exist.
  2. Navigate to Administration | Security | User Profiles.
  3. Use PayGlobal Modelling to model the details for an existing User Profile to the new User Profile.
  4. Change the field for Employee Code to the new user's employee code, and edit any other fields as necessary.

Passwords

User passwords are created manually. Whether you are creating a new user or editing an existing user profile, the password can only be created by clicking the Set Password button on the User Profiles | Login Details tab.

It is recommended that you also tick the Must change password check box on the User Profiles | Login Details tab. This ensures that the user is forced to change their password on their first log in.

Note: Passwords are case sensitive.
