Employee Status

Employee Details | Human Resources | Employee Status

Summary

Examples of Employee Status are:

  • Full time
  • Part time
  • Casual
  • Temporary
  • Contract.

The employee status must be recorded correctly because the Statistics Report uses the Stat report type field on the Employee Status - Details tab to determine the classification of the employee on the report.

Entitlements, such as annual leave or obligations on behalf of the employer, vary according to an employee's employment status.

A casual employee often has leave entitlements included as part of their hourly rate.

Where do I record an employee's status?

Employee Status is recorded for an employee on the Employees - Contract tab page of an employee record. PayGlobal uses the status of an employee to:

  • Determine whether leave should accrue
  • Compile legislative reports for the Statistics Department. The Statistics Department use the employee status to record the current composition of the workforce.
