Summary

The Issued Items tab page records items that are issued to employees such as keys, laptop computers, uniforms or mobile phones. These can have serial numbers or other identification recorded.

Equipment records

These records relate to the actual item that is issued to an employee. The type of item, for example, cell phone, is recorded in the Issuable Items entity. The Issuable Items entity can be set to automatically generate an item identification, either incrementally or by an algorithm.

The Issue Details tab page records the identification for an item that has been issued to an employee. There are two ways to record item identification:

• Manually entering in the identification. For example, a serial number or barcode
• Entering any number in the Item ID number field followed by an asterisk (*) to generate the next value according to the algorithm settings in Issuable Items. For example, enter ' 123* '. PayGlobal will then locate the next valid number according to the method you have chosen to generate IDs (Credit Card Algorithm or sequential numbering).

Summary of equipment issued to employees

To see a summary of all equipment issued to employees, use the Employee Issued Items makeup table.

Jump to Employee by Item ID

If you press F4, then you can use the Jump to Employee by Item ID function to search for an employee with a specific combination of Item Code and Item ID values. If the function does not find an employee with that combination of values, then nothing happens when you click OK.
