Fields |
Total hours paid:The total of all hours worked in the employee's current sick leave period. Total days paid:The total of all days worked in the employee's current sick leave period. Total weeks paid:The total of all weeks worked in the employee's current sick leave period. End date:The sick leave End Date copied from the Leave tab. Average hours per day:This field is calculated automatically by PayGlobal. It divides the total hours worked by the employee in the sick leave period by the number of days worked in the sick leave period. Average days per week:This field is calculated automatically by PayGlobal. It divides the total days worked by the employee in the sick leave period by the number of weeks worked in the sick leave period. |

Unit Balances |
Entitled:The total of all sick leave units (hours or days) brought forward from previous sick leave periods. When the employee's sick leave End date falls within the next Period to be closed, the balance of the Total pro-rata field is carried over into Entitled (including that period's accrual). The Total pro-rata field is then reset to zero. Total pro-rata:Shows the progressive accrual of leave units (hours or days) during the current sick leave period. When a pay period is closed, PayGlobal automatically updates this field with the number of units an employee has accrued in that pay period. The manner in which this field is updated is determined by the Sick Leave table the employee is attached to, and the Method of unit accrual specified in the Values tab. See also Troubleshooting Annual Leave Total pro-rata taken:PayGlobal automatically updates this field with the number of pro-rata sick leave units (hours or days) paid to an employee in their current sick leave period. PayGlobal determines pro-rata leave taken as units paid in the same sick leave period in which they are accruing, usually when there are no entitled units remaining. SL Units Available:Displays the total number of units an employee is entitled to. The field will display either days or hours depending on the Type of unit in the employee's sick leave table. Entitled + (Total pro-rata - Total pro-rata taken) |

Liability |
Nett entitled ($):The value owed to the employee for previous sick leave periods. The calculation uses the unit balance of entitled (in days or hours) multiplied by the rate or rule specified in the attached Sick Leave Table - Setup tab: Entitled - Total pro-rata taken * Entitled unit payout rate/rule value Nett pro-rata ($):The value owed to the employee for the current sick leave period. The calculation method is: Total pro-rata * Pro-rata unit payout rate/rule value Total ($):The nett liability, in dollars, the company is required to pay to the employee. The calculation method is: Nett entitled ($) + Nett pro-rata ($) |
