Award Rules - Qualifying Clauses

Organisation | Entitlements | Award Rules | Qualifying Clauses tab

Summary

Important: Only your PayGlobal Consultant should create award rules. Incorrect award rules will severely affect your system.

Qualifying clauses are the final stage of the employee filtering process before the action clauses. Qualifying clauses use information from Payroll and T&A to filter employees.

Examples

Examples of qualifying clauses are:

Worked is True - The employee must have worked before an award rule is applied.

Reason code is equal to "AWOL" - The employee was absent without leave.

Public holiday today is True and Reason code is equal to "STAT" - There is a statutory public holiday.

Note: When you create an award rule qualifying clause, the Fields list contains sets of similar options. If you use one of these Fields options and then you edit the clause, PayGlobal automatically selects the first option in the set, not the option that you used. For example, if you create a clause with "Daily payments for [ ] after", and then edit it, PayGlobal selects "Daily payments for" as the default option in the Fields list.
