Important: Before you run the Manage Tables command, you must turn off Referential Integrity. If Referential Integrity is not turned off, then PayGlobal cannot remove any records that are referenced. After you run the Manage Tables command, you should run the Check Database Integrity command. Data is responsible for more than 90% of the database size. You can significantly reduce the size of your database by regularly purging data that you no longer use. Purging will reduce the time required to:
For example, you could purge actual allowance transactions that were more than 90 days old because PayGlobal would refer to payroll history in an award interpretation for the current period or for general queries. Similarly, if your database contained a large number of clock transactions, then you should regularly purge the clock transaction table as part of your scheduled maintenance programme. |
