Report Groups

Reports | Report Groups

Summary

Report groups arrange reports by their function, such as Audit, Employee, Leave and Transaction. Reports use a naming convention that reflects their default report group. For example, taxation reports have the prefix "PGPRTAXA". The Taxation report group enables you to quickly navigate to the reports used for taxation reporting purposes.

Report groups can be used:

  • For individual users such as the Payroll clerk or the Human Resources manager.
  • For each internal company.
  • By the frequency that you run the reports, such as weekly or monthly.

Reports can be used in more than one report group. For example, the Payroll clerk and HR Manager may require identical reports, so you would include the report in both groups.

You can also set up overrides that apply to all reports in the group.

Standard Report Groups

The following standard PayGlobal report groups are created during installation:

  • DESGNREPT - Designer Reports
  • PGPRAUDT - Audit Reports
  • PGPRBURE - Bureau Payroll Reports (NZ only)
  • PGPRCOST - Cost Centre Reports
  • PGPREMPL - Employee Reports
  • PGPRGENE - General Ledger Reports
  • PGPRHIST - Transaction History Reports
  • PGPRLEAV - Leave Reports
  • PGPRMAST - Master File Reports
  • PGPRMISC - Miscellaneous Reports
  • PGPRPRIM - Primary Reports
  • PGPRSUPA - Superannuation Reports
  • PGPRTAXA - Taxation Reports
  • PGPRTRAN - Transaction Reports
  • PGSYSTEM - System Reports
  • PGTASTD - T&A Reports

Note: You can create custom report groups as required.

Report Codes

PayGlobal codes have a 12-character limit, but we recommend using a maximum of 11 characters for report codes. You can use the 12th report code character when you want to use a report several times in the same report group. Each report in a report group must have a unique report code. You can use the 12th character to distinguish duplicate reports. For example, in the Primary report group, PGPRPRIM001 is the original Pay Period Calculation Listing, and PGPRPRIM001A is a variation of this report.
