Summary

These fields control login and password settings for all users, as well as controls for whether notifications are sent on changing secure fields on an employee's record.

Fields
Minimum password size:

Minimum number of characters required for a login password.

Unused login expires after:

Unused login names and passwords expire after this number of days. If a user profile has the Login never expires checkbox ticked, then that login name and password will not expire. The default value of 0 (zero) days means that no login details will expire, unless they are set in a user profile, including logins used by Scheduler and Explorer.

Important: This setting does affect Self Service Admin accounts, therefore if this flag is set (and the User Last Logged in flag exceeds this number) then while PayGlobal will not allow log ins by this User Profile - the user can continue to log into Self Service as an admin (if configured).

Password must change after:

Users must change their password after this number of days. The default value of 0 (zero) days means that this rule is not enforced.

Enforce password history:

Allows you determine how many previous passwords PayGlobal checks when a user changes their password. For example, if you enter "3", then PayGlobal compares the new password with the previous 3 passwords. If the new password is the same as one of the previous passwords, then it is rejected. The default value of 0 (zero) means that this rule is not enforced.

Minimum number of character types:

Allows you determine how many different character types the password should contain. PayGlobal can recognize the following character types :- upper case letters (A-Z), lower case letters (a-z), numerals (0-9) and special characters (e.g. #!). This means you can only set this value to be 4 or less. The default value of 0 (zero) indicates that this check will be ignored.

Employee secure data notification:

Yes/No field which sets whether notifications are sent when a secure field is modified on an employee record. The employee whose field has been changed will be notified by email that a change has been made, and recommended to take action if this is unexpected.

At this stage, only the Bank Account field on the employee record will send notifications when modified.

The From email address for this notification uses the 'E-mail' field on the Modify Company Settings > General > Company Details > Contact Details form. See Company Settings - Contact Details for more information.

Note: PayGlobal SMTP settings must be configured for this functionality. See Company Settings - Messaging for more details on how to setup E-mail in PayGlobal.
