Summary

When you process a Diary with the Process Diary Data command or Scheduler, PayGlobal uses the parameters on the Diary Rules tab to create records in Diary View.

Fields

Diary Rule:

The Diary Rules record that is attached to this diary.

Rank:

The Rank value determines the order in which PayGlobal processes the diary rules.

Ranking

To rank a diary rule:

1. Enter a number in the Rank field.
   Diary rules are processed in numeric order so Rank = 5 is processed before Rank = 15.
2. Click Next to go to the next diary rule.
3. Continue this process until you have ranked all the diary rules.
4. Click Save + Close.

We recommend that you leave space in your ranking system for additional ranking values. For example, rank the first rule as 10 and the second rule as 20. If you add any other diary rules, then you can rank them between the existing rules as required.

The order that PayGlobal processes the diary rules is based on the following:

• Rank of the diary rule
• Action clause in the diary rule
• Settings in the Mark Entity Dates form.
