Summary

The User-Defined Accumulators | Details (i) tab contains the fields that define how the UDA sources its data.

The UDA is based on one of the following attributes:

• Allowance Group
• Allowance
• Employee data

Fields

Module:

Payroll is currently the only module UDAs can be created for.

Pay type:

Select from:

• Both (default setting)
  Calculations are made using both standard and manual pay sequences.
• Standard
  Calculations are made using only standard pay sequences.
• Manual
  Calculations are made using only manual pay sequences.

Allowance Group:

Optional field. You can select one Allowance Group.

If this field is populated, the UDA Breakdown record Amount field displays the sum of the allowance group allowances paid in one pay period.

Populating this field deactivates the Allowance, Type and Field fields.

Allowance:

Optional field. You can select one Allowance.

If this field is populated, the UDA Breakdown record Amount field displays the sum of that allowance paid in one pay period.

Populating this field deactivates the Allowance Group and Field fields.

Type:

The Type field is only active when both the Allowance Group and Allowance fields are blank.

Select from:

• Quantity (default setting)

  PayGlobal sums the number of units specified in the quantity field of allowance transactions.

• Hourly Conversion

  PayGlobal sums the number of units specified in the quantity field of allowance transactions with the exception of leave given in days. For the case of leave in days, the days will be converted to hours as specified on the matching leave table or leave credit.

• Equivalent

  PayGlobal multiplies the allowance Quantity by Factor.

  This option is only used in conjunction with the Allowance field.

• Total

  PayGlobal sums the Allowance transaction total.

  This option is only used in conjunction with the Allowance field.

Field:

Optional field. You can select one Employee field from the following list:

If this field is populated, the UDA Breakdown record Amount field displays the value of this Field on closure of each pay period.

Populating this field deactivates the Allowance Group, Allowance and Type fields.

Holidays Act 2003

In accordance with the New Zealand Holidays Act 2003 (No. 129) your PayGlobal database must contain the appropriate User-Defined Accumulators (UDAs).

PayGlobal can create default UDAs on command, or you can set them up manually.
