Administration | Tables/Users Status command
Summary |
When you double click the Tables/Users Status command, PayGlobal attempts to gain exclusive access to all tables in PayGlobal. It then reports on the current status of tables and users. |
Explanation |
Tables tab:Any tables that do not have exclusive access are displayed here. Users tab:Users that are currently logged on are listed here. Within this tab, you have options to eject all users or a single user. To be able to view the eject options, Company Settings field User eject wait time must be set to a value greater than zero. |

Eject All Users and Lock System:This feature is similar to the Session/Permanent Lock functionality except that with a Session Lock all other users need to be logged out first before the lock can be applied. Eject All Users and Lock System allows users with supervisor access to prevent further users from logging in and provide a prompt to all users currently logged in that they will be logged out. The message users will receive in the log off prompt states: You are about to be forcibly logged off the system by an administrator. Press OK to log off immediately. If you don't click OK when you receive this message the system will automatically log you out after 20 secs (approximately). Note: You will not get this prompt if you are running a critical process such as processing a pay. You receive the above message as soon as that process has completed. Other users will not be able to log in again until either you log out or you cancel the eject of all users and unlock the system. Eject Current User:This option allows supervisor users to log off a single user. When you select this option the user who you are trying to log out will receive the same message as above except if they are running a critical process. If they are running a critical process the system will send the same message log them once the critical process has finished. IMPORTANT: This option does not prevent this or other users from logging in, i.e. no lock applied. Cancel Eject and Unlock System:This option only appears when an eject lock is active. Cancel eject of current user:This option only appears when either the eject all user lock or eject current user is activated. |
Eject lock ACTIVE |
When an eject lock is created on the database, users will see a visual display of the lock in the Tables/User Status dialog box. Red text will appear if any form of lock is on in the system whether it be an Eject, Session or Permanent lock. The lock must be removed before any users can log back into PayGlobal.
