Leave Defaults (NZ)

Payroll | Leave Setup | Leave Defaults command

Summary

The Leave Defaults command allows you create default UDAs (User Defined Accumulators) and Allowance Groups to meet the requirements of the New Zealand Holidays Act 2003.

Running this command:

  • Creates the default UDA records.
  • Creates the Allowance Groups used by the UDAs.
  • Populates the Company Settings | Holidays Act fields with the default UDAs.

The Leave Defaults command can create up to ten default UDAs and Allowance Groups. You can use the fields on the Holidays Act 2003 tab to determine which defaults are created, but you would normally create the full set.

Tab pages

The Holidays Act 2003 tab contains the setup fields and the Details tab describes those fields.

Retired UDA's

In 2011, the NZ Holidays Act 2003 replaced the use of the Relevant Daily Pay 4 week average rate with "Average Daily Pay". Other than a name change, the only other change was that the rate needed to look at 52 week instead of 4. If your database still shows UDAs with "RELDLY4", "RELHRS4" or "RELDYS4" it just means manual post upgrade processes to relabel these UDA's did not take place. If you have compliance doubts please contact your account manager to have your setup reviewed by an MYOB PayGlobal consultant.
