Summary

You can process a diary in either of the following ways:

• Manually with the Process Diary Data command
  You would use this function between scheduled updates. For example, when you make significant changes to dates and you want to see the result in Diary View.
• Automatically with PayGlobal Scheduler
  See Scheduling Diary View Updates.

When you process diary data, PayGlobal creates a diary transaction in Diary View according to the rules in the selected diary. PayGlobal also updates existing records held in Diary View with information in the current database.

Evaluation

During processing, PayGlobal evaluates each diary rule according to:

• Rank of the diary rule
• Action clause in the diary rule
• Settings in the Mark Entity Date form.

If you select 'Yes' in the Overwrite Existing Transactions field on the Mark Entity Date form, then PayGlobal will overwrite existing transactions.

Diary:

Diary that you want to update in Diary View.

From:

Start date for Diary View.

To:

End date for Diary View

You can set dates each time you process diary data or set up PayGlobal Scheduler to use offsets from the current date.
