Employees - Leave Request Settings

Summary

The Leave Request Settings tab contains Employee Leave Request Settings records.

The information on this page is used with Self-Service and it is displayed when Self-Service is installed, you are licensed for Self-Service, and the Self-Service module is enabled.

You must set up and attach Employee Leave Request Settings records to employees to enable them to apply for leave in Self-Service. Leave Request Settings control how Self-Service handles leave for employees.

Note: You can also use the Create Leave Request Settings tool to attach records to a group of employees.

An employee who does not have a Leave Request Settings record will see the following error when they click the New Leave Request tab in Self-Service: "You cannot use self-service to apply for leave".

Using Leave in Open Periods (LOP)

To use LOP there must be no overlapping records or gaps in dates between records.
