Time & Attendance Requirements

Summary

Before you can process data in Time and Attendance you must set up the following components of PayGlobal:

Processing T&A

An Actuals period must be open before it can be processed. The following commands enable you to process T&A timebands:

When you process Actuals, PayGlobal converts the data so that it can be used by a payroll system. Processing Actuals converts timebands into allowances, such as 'ordinary time', 'overtime' and 'annual leave'. You can process Actuals both from the PayGlobal Tree or from within Daily View. After you have processed Actuals, run the Pay Period Calculation Listing report to show a breakdown of the pay by allowance type. You can add or edit employee transactions in the Daily View window.

Finally, you need to export the employee Actuals to payroll and then close the Actuals period.

Maintaining T&A

PayGlobal Scheduler can automate the three processes, outlined above, that are needed to create timebands.

When PayGlobal processes clock data, it applies anchoring, rounding and other miscellaneous rules from the employee's anchor group.

PayGlobal can generate non-clocked timebands from the employee's roster. When you process clock result data, PayGlobal uses anchoring and rounding rules to check the clock swipes in or out. You can also set up this process to create timebands when the employee has clock swiped a time that is inconsistent with their roster. PayGlobal flags these extra timebands and any other clock swipe errors so that you can confirm them in Daily View.
